A very creative work! Have fun!

As we are exploring language and its possibilities, we wrote stories using some invented words. Each story has a specific topic… see if you can guess it!!! As a clue here are the topics we use in the wrong order: Love, To Be Lost, Murder and Jealousy.

Story number 1:

I am here and I see you. I know that you have mongroso but our apamo is strong.

I have made up my mind and I take a crumbo and go towards you. Now, I am in front of you and I see you shake. I put my crumbo in your body. I feel you are cold. I use my hand and I stuks you.

Sorry, but you have broken my heart with another man.

Story number 2:

Marie was walking round the creetes looking for some cholates with her sister.

-Where are the cholates? – Asked her

-I don´t know...I think we have to continue walking.

-But, Camila the topanote said that this creete is cololumpiada

-Ok, let´s go and look for someone who aylp us.

-But, do you think that someone can aylp us to find the cholates in this creets?

-Yes, I guess...

Story number 3:

Dear Roberttom,

I can´t stop thinking about you because I love you. Yesterday night was wonderful. The kisses, the romantic lunch, the sucarfletto and the stupematic hanilfoor.

I see the future and I can see it very cantempo and with a lot of trecoss kids. I am going to wait for you all my gattuso life.

I want to report jupaus to pitufilin.

Kisses in the horniquuree,

Carlos Hipolito Mangalas.

Story number 4:

- Are you kidding me? What is this? I come from the ganshom and I find you rocking with this man? Such a princess!!

-No, don´t call me like that! Let me explain. I wasn´t rocking with him. I was laylking with him in bed. We were arguing about work, he is my horse.

-Your horse? I thought John was your horse not this helpless rich man.

-No...he splits because he was tired of working, so I had to hire another horse to help me. You misunderstood everything.

.Oh! I am ashamurry. Please, forgive me.

Communication I

As a second language English is always difficult to undestand. Imagine how difficult could it be to undestand an English poem with invented words!!! Lewis Carroll wrote Jabberwocky and included it in his famous book Through the looking glass and what Alice found there.
Many of the words were invented by Carroll and some of them are what it is called portmanteaus, a fusion of two words.
We read this poem in order to question language and communication.

Jabberwocky

'Twas brillig, and the slithy toves
Did gyre and gimble in the wabe;
All mimsy were the borogoves,
And the mome raths outgrabe.
'Beware the Jabberwock, my son!
The jaws that bite, the claws that catch!
Beware the Jubjub bird, and shun
The frumious Bandersnatch!'
He took his vorpal sword in hand:
Long time the manxome foe he sought--
So rested he by the Tumtum tree,
And stood awhile in thought.
And as in uffish thought he stood,
The Jabberwock, with eyes of flame,
Came whiffling through the tulgey wood,
And burbled as it came!
One, two! One, two! And through and through
The vorpal blade went snicker-snack!
He left it dead, and with its head
He went galumphing back.
'And hast thou slain the Jabberwock?
Come to my arms, my beamish boy!
O frabjous day! Callooh! Callay!'
He chortled in his joy.
'Twas brillig, and the slithy toves
Did gyre and gimble in the wabe;
All mimsy were the borogoves,
And the mome raths outgrabe.
